Description
This lot comprises a total of 100 cartridges of 7.62x39mm ammunition, representing both Chinese and Czech production. The collection includes three original green boxes from China North Industries Corporation, commonly known as Norinco, with each box containing 20 steel-cased cartridges. Also included are two light blue boxes from Sellier & Bellot, manufactured in the Czech Republic, each labeled as containing 20 cartridges with 5.5mm Berdan non-corrosive and non-erosive primers. The individual cartridges feature brown lacquered steel cases and copper-washed projectiles. Verbatim markings on the Norinco boxes include China North Industries Corporation, 7.62x39mm, Steel Case, and 20 Cartridges. The Sellier & Bellot boxes are marked Made in Czech Republic, 7,62 x 39, Primers 5,5 mm Berdan, and Lellier & Bellot a.s. 258 13 Vlasim, Czech Republic. Visible headstamps on representative cartridges show the factory code 71 at the 12 o’clock position and production year codes including 86, 88, and 93 at the 6 o’clock position.
Condition report:
The cardboard ammunition boxes show moderate shelf wear and age-related handling, including softened corners, minor edge fraying, and light surface staining, but they remain functionally intact. The individual cartridges appear to be in good overall condition, with the brown lacquered protective finish largely complete and no evidence of significant corrosion or oxidation on the steel cases. The copper-washed projectiles show expected minor surface dulling but no heavy pitting. The primers are present and correctly seated. The ammunition appears to be live.
