Description
This lot features 2 die sets used for reloading .38 and .357 caliber handgun ammunition. The first set is a Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension Series II set in a red plastic case, labeled for .38/357/357 MAX with item number 546527. This set contains several threaded steel dies, with internal components bearing multiple markings including Hornady, Lyman, and Lee-Decap. The case also includes a shell holder and a single brass cartridge casing. The second set is an RCBS Precisioneered set in a green plastic case with a handwritten label reading 357 Die Set. This set contains multiple steel dies, including one component stamped 38/357-A. Both sets are designed for use in a reloading press for the sizing, decapping, and seating of ammunition components.
Condition report:
Both sets are in used condition. The metal dies show varying degrees of surface oxidation, light corrosion, and finish wear from regular use. The plastic storage cases exhibit typical scuffing, scratches, and wear to the labels. The interior foam in the Hornady case shows signs of age-related degradation.
