Description
This lot consists of a total of 132 rounds of Winchester Super-X .38 Special centerfire pistol and revolver ammunition. The collection contains two distinct varieties: 95-grain Silvertip Hollow Point +P high-pressure rounds and 158-grain Lead round-nose rounds. All cartridges are constructed with nickel-plated cases designed for improved corrosion resistance and reliable cycling. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Winchester Super-X 50 Centerfire Pistol-Revolver Cartridges with catalog numbers X38SSHP for the Silvertip loads and X38SIP for the 158-grain lead loads. Cartridge headstamps are clearly marked WINCHESTER 38 SPL +P and WINCHESTER 38 SPL according to their respective specifications. The Silvertip projectiles feature a distinctive silver-toned jacketed hollow point design while the 158-grain rounds utilize a traditional lead round-nose projectile. The ammunition is provided in original factory cardboard boxes.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition and appears to be live. The nickel-plated cases show minor surface tarnishing and light handling wear. Some of the lead projectiles exhibit typical light white oxidation consistent with age. The cardboard boxes show moderate signs of use including edge fraying, corner dings, and surface paper loss where previous labels have been removed. The primers appear to be properly seated and no signs of heavy corrosion or structural compromise were observed.
