Description
This lot comprises a collection of 83 live cartridges and 14 empty casings of 6mm Remington ammunition, presented in two blue Midway plastic storage boxes. The ammunition appears to be handloaded, as indicated by the Midway reloader’s labels affixed to the interior of the lids, which feature handwritten load data dated May 4, 1996, and specify bullet weights of 48 grains and 75 grains. The live cartridges are fitted with copper-jacketed hollow-point or open-tip bullets. Verification of the headstamps shows the use of Remington-Peters and Winchester-Western brass, with markings transcribing verbatim as R – P 6 MM REM and W – W SUPER 6 MM REM. The inclusion of 14 empty casings provides additional brass components for reloading enthusiasts. The ammunition is housed in standard plastic grids within the storage boxes for organization and protection.
Condition report:
The ammunition and brass casings are in good overall condition. The brass cases exhibit varying degrees of surface oxidation, tarnish, and minor discoloration consistent with their age and storage. The copper-jacketed bullets show minor surface dulling but no heavy corrosion or significant damage. The 14 empty casings show spent primers and typical firing residue. The blue Midway plastic boxes are functional with minor shelf wear, and the handwritten labels remain legible despite some age-related yellowing. As these are handloaded cartridges of significant age, we have not function-tested this ammunition, and their stability or ballistic performance cannot be guaranteed.
