Description
The Smith & Wesson SD9 VE is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, designed for reliability and ease of use in personal protection or home defense scenarios. This example features a 4 inch barrel and a two-tone aesthetic with a satin finish stainless steel slide paired with a black textured polymer frame. The pistol is equipped with fixed white three-dot sights and an integral accessory rail on the dust cover for mounting tactical accessories. An aftermarket slide back plate has been installed, featuring a Gadsden flag coiled snake motif with the inscriptions LIBERTY OR DEATH and DONT TREAD ON ME. Verbatim markings on the left side of the slide include the manufacturer’s logo and SMITH & WESSON SD9 VE, while the right side is stamped SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A. The top of the barrel chamber is marked -9 MM-. The underside of the frame’s dust cover contains a metal plate with the serial number HFE0144, and the right side of the frame is molded with the warning CAUTION: Capable of firing with magazine removed. This lot is accompanied by one stainless steel magazine and a black plastic MTM Case-Gard model #807 hard case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The stainless steel slide shows visible signs of surface oxidation and light rust concentrated within the cocking serrations and stamped lettering. The black polymer frame exhibits scattered scuffing, scratches, and handling marks, particularly on the grip panels and the underside of the trigger guard. The bore was not inspected but the external condition of the barrel suggests it has seen regular use. The action appears to function correctly with a clear trigger reset, although the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The three-dot sights remain intact and functional. The included magazine and hard case are in good used condition with typical shelf wear.
