Description
A pair of Peerless Model 700C chain link handcuffs manufactured by the Peerless Handcuff Company of Springfield, Massachusetts. These restraints are constructed from nickel-plated steel and feature a swing-through bow design connected by a short two-link chain. One lock housing is stamped with the manufacturer information PEERLESS HANDCUFF CO. and SPRINGFIELD MA, alongside the serial number 472972. The opposite cuff is stamped with MADE IN USA and PATENTED, with the model designation 700C incised near the keyhole. The handcuffs are accompanied by their original blue and maroon cardboard retail packaging. The box indicates the contents meet NIJ Type 3 standards and features the company slogan Setting the Standard Since 1914.
Condition report:
The handcuffs are in good used condition with light surface scratches and minor finish wear consistent with deployment. The mechanical locking and swing-through actions appear functional. The original retail box shows significant shelf wear, including scuffed edges, creases, and small tears to the cardboard flaps and corners.
