Description
This is a Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, designed for tactical or precision shooting. The rifle is equipped with a 16.5-inch heavy contour barrel featuring a 1 in 10 inch twist rate as specified by the markings, and the muzzle is threaded with a knurled thread protector installed. The receiver is fitted with a one-piece black Picatinny scope rail for mounting optics. The metal components have a matte dark grey to brownish finish which shows scattered areas of minor surface oxidation. Key markings include the model designation Remington MODEL 700 on the left side of the receiver along with the serial number RR56348G and a small matrix code. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY ILION, NY 308 WIN 1 IN 10 TACTICAL on the left side, and proof marks including a REP in an oval and a triangle symbol are visible on the right side at the breech. The firearm features a synthetic stock with a tan base color and a black spiderweb splatter pattern, integrated sling swivel studs, and a black Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The bolt features a knurled handle for improved grip, and the rifle utilizes a hinged floorplate magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good used condition. The matte finish on the metal components shows some light wear and scattered small patches of surface oxidation, particularly along the length of the barrel. The synthetic stock is in very good condition with only minor handling marks, and the recoil pad remains in good condition. The action appears to function correctly and the trigger pull is crisp, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
