Description
This is a modern reproduction of a US Model 1918 Mark I trench knife, manufactured by Gunner Gear and marketed as the 2 in 1 Skull Crusher. The knife features an approximately 6.75-inch double-edged carbon steel spear-point blade and a solid brass knuckle-duster hilt. Key markings include the designation U.S. 1918 cast in relief on the obverse side of the handle grip. The solid brass hilt integrates a curved crossguard, four finger rings with integral 5mm knuckle spikes, and a threaded 1.5cm pointed pommel skull crusher. The knife has an overall length of 11.65 inches and weighs 300 grams. Included with the knife is a black synthetic sheath and the original color-printed retail cardboard box.
Condition report:
The knife is in very good overall condition. The carbon steel blade displays minor surface discoloration and some faint production-related grind marks, but retains its factory configuration. The polished brass knuckle-duster hilt exhibits a bright finish with light handling marks and minor tarnish. The synthetic sheath is in excellent condition with no notable damage. The original cardboard retail box is intact but shows moderate shelf wear, including edge creasing and a small puncture.
