Description
This Ruger Ranch Rifle is a semi-automatic centerfire rifle chambered in .223 caliber, utilizing a gas-operated rotating bolt action based on the classic military design. The firearm is equipped with an 18.5-inch blued barrel featuring a front blade sight and a flip-up rear aperture sight, while the receiver includes integral scope mounts. The metal components are finished in a traditional bluing, paired with a hardwood stock and a black synthetic vented handguard. Key markings on the heel of the receiver include RUGER, RANCH RIFLE, and CAL. .223. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the manufacturer’s information, STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A., preceded by a circular manufacturer’s logo and the serial number 187-07889. The rifle features a detachable box magazine and a black rubber buttplate embossed with the Ruger logo. Front and rear sling swivels are provided, mounted to the gas block and the buttstock respectively. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the receiver and barrel shows moderate wear with thinning at the edges and some light surface scratches throughout. The hardwood stock exhibits significant cosmetic wear, including numerous deep scratches, dings, and abrasions, particularly on the buttstock and lower forend. The synthetic handguard remains structurally sound with minor surface scuffs. The bore was not inspected, but the action appears to function smoothly; we have not function-tested this firearm. The rubber buttplate shows minor wear and some debris in the texturing.
