Description

A U.S. M1 Garand rifle, manufactured by International Harvester (IHC), featuring an LMR marked BARREL. This is an ALL matching rifle, including the Julian dated (on the inside) Walnut stock. The operating rod was made by IHC, as are all the parts on this one. The receiver is prominently marked “U.S. RIFLE CAL. .30 M1 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER” along with the serial number “4634119”. The barrel is marked “LMR D6535448 2 54 A29”. The rifle is constructed with a dark-stained wooden stock and handguards, complemented by parkerized or blued metal components, and fitted with a tan fabric sling. It is housed within a black, textured hard polymer case featuring “CMP” (Civilian Marksmanship Program) branding. Accompanying documentation includes a “CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM Certificate of Authenticity, ” specifying the model as “M1 Garand IHC Field Grade” with the matching serial number “4634119” and dated “Jan 13, 2025,” alongside a card labeled “U.S. RIFLE, CALIBER .30, M1” and “READ THIS FIRST!”.

Condition report:

The rifle is in good overall condition, exhibiting typical minor surface wear, scratches, and finish loss consistent with its age and field-grade designation. The wooden stock shows handling marks and minor abrasions. Metal components retain much of their finish with areas of wear, particularly on high points and moving parts. The bore was not inspected. The accompanying CMP case and documentation are also in good order with minimal wear.
