Description
A pair of Soviet-era 6×30 binoculars, dated 1941, serial number 29358, housed in their original brown leather carrying case. The binoculars feature a black-painted metal body with textured black grips and are fitted with an aged brown leather neck strap. Visible markings include “6×30”, the year “1941”, the serial number “29358”, and a faded emblem resembling a hammer and sickle. A diopter scale with numbers 1 through 5 is present on the right eyepiece. The carrying case is brown leather with a red velvet-lined interior.
Condition report:
Both the binoculars and the case exhibit significant signs of age and use. The binoculars show paint loss, minor surface wear, and some verdigris on the metalwork. The leather case is heavily scuffed, scratched, discolored, and worn, particularly on the edges and closure strap, with the interior lining also showing compression marks and staining.
