Description
This lot consists of a Mossberg Model 500A pump-action shotgun receiver assembly and two barrels. The receiver is chambered for 12 Gauge, 2 3/4 and 3-inch shells, and features a black high-gloss finish. The serial number is J466022. The receiver is fitted with black synthetic furniture, including a ribbed slide forend and a vertical pistol grip. Markings on the receiver assembly include Mossberg MADE IN USA NORTH HAVEN, CONN. 500A 12 GA. The attached barrel assembly includes a ventilated heat shield and brass bead front sight, and is marked 12 GA. CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. U.S.A. The attached barrel is approximately 18 1/2 inches in length. The second, separate barrel is marked Western Field 2 3/4 CHAMBER 16 GA C-LECT-CHOKE. This 16 Gauge barrel is incompatible with the 12 Gauge receiver group.
Condition report:
The magazines are in generally very good condition. The stainless steel finish is bright and displays superficial scratching and wear consistent with handling, insertion, or light use. There is no evidence of deep pitting or major corrosion. The polymer basepads and mounting screws are in excellent, unused condition. We have not function-tested these magazines with a firearm.
