Lot 1549:
Military M19 Large Metal Ammo Can Containing Bulk Lot of Spent .308 Winchester Empty Brass Casings
Sold for: $65
Description
This lot consists of a large metal ammo can, consistent with the US military M19 style, finished in olive drab paint. The can bears yellow stenciling indicating its original contents: 1200 CARTRIDGES CAL. .38 SPECIAL BALL M41 IN CARTONS LOT RA 5383. The can currently contains a large quantity of loose, spent brass bottlenecked rifle casings, visually consistent with the .308 Winchester (7.62mm NATO) caliber, based on their profile and market context and user-provided emphasis. These empty brass casings are sold as components suitable for reloading. A total of nine additional spent brass rifle casings are visible outside the can. The lot is being sold as a collection of empty brass components and the container.
Condition report:
The brass receiver exhibits a polished finish with moderate handling marks, minor surface pitting, and scattered areas of green and black oxidation (verdigris), particularly in the internal recesses and around the breech plug opening. The steel breech plug shows a matte gray finish with clear machining marks and surface wear consistent with prior use, but no heavy rust. All markings are clear and legible. This is a component part only and we have not function-tested this firearm component. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
