Description

A Winchester Model 670A bolt-action sporting rifle chambered in .243 WIN. The rifle features a blued finish and is built on the Winchester push-feed action, derived from the Model 70 design. The barrel is marked – WINCHESTER MODEL 670A .243 WIN – MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL. The receiver is marked with the serial number G1038056. The rifle is fitted with a high-gloss, dark stained wood stock featuring a pronounced Monte Carlo comb and checkered panels on the fore-end and pistol grip. The buttstock has been fitted with a ventilated red rubber recoil pad separated by a white spacer. Sighting equipment includes adjustable iron sights (a ramp-style rear sight and a hooded front sight) as well as a mounted Leupold M8 6X fixed-power scope secured via blued rings on the receiver bridge.
Condition: The blued metal finish retains approximately 90% coverage, showing minor handling marks and light surface wear consistent with field use, particularly on the barrel near the muzzle and on the scope rings. The bolt face and action appear clean. The bore condition is untested but appears bright from the muzzle. The high-gloss wood stock shows numerous scuffs, scratches, and dings throughout the finish, particularly on the buttstock and fore-end, consistent with use. The added recoil pad shows age and minor damage/tears around the mounting screws. The mounted Leupold scope appears clear with a duplex reticle. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, but we have not function-tested this firearm. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
