Description
This RG Industries Model 31 is a double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special, featuring a 2-inch snub-nose barrel and a swing-out cylinder. The firearm is finished in a matte black coating across the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The grips are constructed of brown swirled faux-wood plastic with checkered panels and a circular RG logo. Sighting is achieved through a fixed front blade and a rear notch integrated into the ribbed top strap of the frame. Prominent markings include CAL. 38 SPECIAL on the left side of the barrel and MOD. RG 31, RG IND., and MIAMI, FLA. on the left side of the frame. The serial number Q080938 is stamped on the bottom of the grip frame. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver exhibits moderate wear consistent with use, including finish loss at the muzzle and along the high edges of the frame and cylinder. Light surface grime and residue are visible in the recessed areas and cylinder flutes. The bore appears generally clean with visible rifling, though it has not been deeply cleaned. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double action, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The plastic grips are in good condition with minor surface scratches and well-defined checkering.
