This Smith & Wesson Model 14-3 is a double-action revolver chambered in .38 S&W Special, designed as a precision target firearm. It features a 6-inch barrel with a blued steel finish and a case-hardened hammer and trigger. The revolver is fitted with black textured Pachmayr Gripper rubber grips featuring finger grooves for a secure hold. The sighting system consists of an adjustable rear target sight and a fixed ramped front blade sight. Prominent markings include the left side of the barrel stamped SMITH & WESSON and the right side marked 38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG. The right side of the frame displays the Smith & Wesson trade mark logo and the four-line address MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. Internal frame markings located on the yoke include the model designation MOD 14-3 and the serial number 5K29327, which is also explicitly stamped on the butt of the frame. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in very good overall condition, retaining a high percentage of its original blued finish. There is minor finish wear and light handling marks visible on the barrel, and the six-shot cylinder shows a faint turn line. The hammer and trigger retain strong and vibrant case-hardened colors. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The Pachmayr rubber grips are in excellent condition with no notable wear to the texturing. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double action, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
