Description
This Leupold Vari-X IIc rifle scope is a variable magnification optic designed for versatile hunting and target applications. The scope features a magnification range from 3x to 9x with a 40mm objective lens, housed in a matte black finished tube. The objective bell is distinguished by the signature Leupold gold ring. Key markings include the model designation VARI-X IIc 3-9x40mm engraved on the objective housing and the manufacturer name LEUPOLD in gold-toned lettering on the central turret housing. The power adjustment ring is textured for grip and features triangular indices at the 4, 6, and 9 positions. Internal inspection reveals a duplex reticle consisting of fine central crosshairs that transition to thicker outer posts. Both protective turret caps are present, though mounting rings and original packaging are not included with this lot.
Condition report:
The scope exhibits minor signs of external handling wear and light surface dust. The matte black finish remains largely intact with only faint thinning at high points. The lenses appear clear with no significant scratches or fogging observed during visual inspection. The power adjustment ring rotates smoothly, and the windage and elevation turrets appear to function correctly, though they have not been bore-sighted or field-tested.
