Description
A trio of United States flags manufactured by the Valley Forge Flag Co. of Spring City, Pennsylvania. Each flag is constructed from 100 percent cotton bunting and features a navy blue field with individual white stars in an applique or embroidered style. The flags include heavy white canvas headers with brass-finished grommets for mounting. One flag retains a printed fabric label on the header identifying it as the BEST brand, 100 percent cotton bunting, from the Valley Forge Flag Co. The flags are presented in a traditional triangular ceremonial fold, typical of those used for interment or memorial purposes. One flag includes a yellow cardstock inventory tag attached with a black elastic cord.
Condition report:
The flags are in good vintage condition. There is evidence of light surface dust and minor discoloration on the white canvas headers consistent with age and long-term storage. The flags remain in their ceremonial folds and the internal fabric has not been inspected for specific star count or hidden damage.
