Description
This is a single Iver Johnson Safety Automatic double-action top-break revolver chambered in .32 S&W. The firearm features a five-shot cylinder and a barrel approximately 3 inches in length with a fixed front blade sight. The frame is constructed of steel with a nickel-plated finish and a top-break latch mechanism for ejection. Key markings on the barrel rib include IVER JOHNSON’S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS / FITCHBURG MASS. U.S.A. transcribed verbatim. The bottom of the grip frame is marked with several patent dates including PAT APR.6.86. FEB.15. / MAY 10.87 MAR. 13.88 AUG. / 96 PAT’S PENDING. This specimen is missing both grip panels, leaving the metal frame and mainspring exposed. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in poor condition. The original nickel finish shows significant wear, with heavy flaking and oxidation across the barrel, cylinder, and frame. Extensive pitting and surface rust are present on most metal surfaces. The bore is dark with visible pitting. Both grip panels are missing, exposing the internal mainspring. The action has not been function-tested, and the firearm is offered as a non-functioning specimen for parts or restoration.
