Description
This lot consists of a collection of 325 spent ammunition casings in various handgun calibers, primarily intended for reloading components or scrap metal recovery. The collection includes a mix of calibers such as .357 Magnum, .40 S&W, and .45 Auto, along with other miscellaneous handgun brass. The items are constructed from both standard brass and nickel-plated metal. Key markings visible on the headstamps include FEDERAL 357 MAG, FEDERAL 40 S&W, WINCHESTER 45 AUTO, S&W, and R-P. These casings are spent, featuring indented primers and internal carbon soot residue consistent with previous discharge. The lot is housed in a cardboard shipping container and contains a variety of manufacturers and primer pocket sizes.
Condition report:
The casings are in used, spent condition. Most examples exhibit varying degrees of surface oxidation, tarnish, and environmental wear. Internal soot and carbon residue are present from firing. Primers are spent and remain seated in the primer pockets. The metal surfaces show typical signs of range pickup, including minor dings and scratches from ejection and contact with other casings. The lot has not been cleaned or tumbled and is considered inert.
