Description
This H&R 1871 Handi-Rifle SB2 is a single-shot break-action rifle chambered in .357 Magnum. It features a 22-inch matte blued barrel and a matte black receiver, providing a durable and utilitarian aesthetic. The firearm is equipped with a black synthetic Choate Tool stock and forend, which includes textured grip panels for improved handling and a rubber recoil pad. For optics, it is fitted with a Bushnell Banner 2 telescopic sight featuring a duplex-style reticle, mounted to a Picatinny-style rail, and includes a set of protective lens covers. Key markings include the model and caliber designation on the left side of the barrel, HANDI RIFLE™ SB2 CAL. 357 MAG followed by a circled P proof mark, and a standard safety warning. The left side of the frame is marked H&R 1871 ILION, NY U.S.A. above a data matrix code and the serial number CAC493677. Additional markings on the frame state WARNING: DO NOT EXCHANGE BARRELS WITH THIS FIREARM. 357 MAG 44 REM MAG OR SHOTGUN BARRELS ONLY. The rifle is further enhanced with a hammer extension and sling swivel studs. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in very good overall condition, exhibiting minimal handling wear across the matte blued barrel and matte black receiver. There is slight oxidation visible on the hammer and trigger. The synthetic Choate Tool stock and forend are well-preserved with sharp texturing. The optics are clear, and the action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
