Description
This Remington Model 700 is a bolt-action rifle chambered for the .222 Remington cartridge. It features a blued steel barrel and receiver paired with a high-gloss walnut stock. The stock is configured with a Monte Carlo-style cheekpiece, textured checkering on the pistol grip and forend, and a black rubber butt plate. The rifle is equipped with a Hi-Lux 6.5-20x44mm scope with a mil-dot reticle, secured by two-piece mounting bases. Key markings include the model designation Remington MODEL 700 and the serial number A6233436 on the receiver. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. .222 REM. and bears additional stamps including R.E.I. in a rounded rectangle and the number 64. The rifle is fitted with front and rear sling swivel studs. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows areas of thinning and light surface oxidation or freckling. The walnut stock is in good condition, exhibiting minor handling marks and light superficial scratches consistent with field use. The Hi-Lux optics are clear, and the mil-dot reticle is intact. The bolt action appears to function correctly, but we have not function-tested this firearm.
