A Pair of Fixed Blade Hunting Knives Including a Case XX M3F SSP and a Custom Damascus Steel Knife

Description
This lot consists of a pair of fixed-blade hunting knives with their respective leather sheaths. The first is a custom-style hunting knife featuring a drop-point Damascus steel blade with a prominent wavy pattern-welded texture. The full-tang handle is composed of wood scales and a central section of stabilized multi-colored burl with turquoise-colored inclusions, secured by brass pins, a decorative mosaic pin, and a brass lanyard hole at the pommel. It is paired with a black leather sheath featuring an embossed alligator-skin texture and yellow contrast stitching. The second item is a Case XX hunting knife. Key markings on the Case XX include M3F over SSP on one side of the blade base, while the reverse side bears CASE XX over SS flanked by lightning bolts and USA with five dots below. The blade is also etched with the text TESTED XX RAZOR EDGE and features a serrated thumb rest on the spine. Its handle is constructed of stacked leather washers with red and black spacers and an aluminum pommel and finger guard. The accompanying tan leather sheath is embossed with CASE XX and an arrow design.
Condition report:
The Damascus knife is in very good condition with minimal signs of use or wear to the blade and handle. The Case XX knife shows significant surface scratching and evidence of repeated sharpening along the length of the blade. The stacked leather handle on the Case XX shows moderate wear and the aluminum components exhibit minor scuffing and oxidation. Both leather sheaths show moderate wear, with the Case XX sheath exhibiting minor surface cracking, darkening, and stretching consistent with age and field use.
