Description
This Remington Model 597 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, designed as a reliable rimfire platform for target shooting and small game hunting. The firearm features a matte black finish on its barrel and receiver, paired with a synthetic stock finished in a deciduous forest camouflage pattern. Key markings include the manufacturer’s name Remington in script and MODEL 597 in block letters on the left side of the receiver, alongside the serial number B2728284. The barrel is roll-marked with REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. MAYFIELD, KY and 22 LONG RIFLE. The rifle is equipped with an adjustable rear notch sight and a fixed front blade sight. The furniture consists of a camouflage synthetic stock and a black textured buttplate featuring an ornate RA monogram logo. One 10-round detachable box magazine with a silver-tone body and orange follower is included. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish on the barrel and receiver shows minor signs of use, including light scuffs and small areas of surface oxidation on the barrel\'s exterior. The synthetic stock\'s camouflage pattern remains well-preserved with only minimal handling marks. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The included magazine shows typical wear from insertion and removal.
