Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of PMC X-TAC 5.56 NATO centerfire rifle ammunition, organized into five original factory boxes containing 20 rounds each. These cartridges feature 62-grain Green Tip-LAP (Light Armor Piercing) projectiles, manufactured to M855 military specifications for enhanced penetration and consistent performance. The cartridges are constructed with reloadable brass cases that show distinct factory annealing at the neck and shoulder, indicating appropriate heat treatment. The primers are seated with a purple sealant to provide moisture resistance and ensure long-term storage reliability. Prominent markings on the boxes include PMC AMMUNITION X-TAC, 5.56 NATO, 62 Grs. Green Tip-LAP, and 20 CENTERFIRE RIFLE CARTRIDGES. A transcription of the headstamp on the cartridge bases reads P S D 1 5, which identifies the manufacturer as the Poongsan Corporation and indicates a production date of 2015.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in excellent condition, with the brass cases appearing clean and free of corrosion or significant tarnishing. The green identification paint on the tips of the projectiles is well-preserved and intact. All cartridges appear to be live and factory-new. The cardboard boxes exhibit minor shelf wear consistent with handling, including light scuffing at the corners and minor edge fraying, but they remain structurally sound and the graphics are clear. One box has been opened for inspection, while the others remain closed.
