Description
This lot consists of 500 rounds of Winchester Super-X High Velocity .22 Short ammunition, organized as ten boxes containing 50 cartridges each. These 29 grain lead round nose cartridges are intended for use in firearms chambered for the .22 Short caliber. The ammunition is housed in gray cardboard boxes featuring the iconic red Winchester horse and rider logo alongside the Super-X brand mark. Extensive markings on the packaging include Winchester, Super-X High Velocity, 22 Short, 29 Grain, and the product code X22S. Transcribed text from the attached retail labels reads Winchester 02089210011 880, X22S 22SHORT 29LRN, and identifies a club price of $2.18. Each brass casing features a headstamp consisting of a stylized X with the word Super embossed across the center. The cartridges are seated with lead bullets and appear to be in their original factory configuration.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show minor shelf wear and rounding at the corners, with retail price stickers remaining affixed to the end flaps. The brass casings are generally clean with light surface tarnish. The lead bullets exhibit visible white oxidation and dulling consistent with age. The ammunition appears live and stable, though we have not function-tested the cartridges.
