Lot 1576:
A Lot of 60 Rounds of 7mm Remanufactured Ammunition
Sold for: $60
Description
This lot consists of 60 rounds of remanufactured 7mm caliber rifle ammunition presented in three plastic utility boxes. The collection includes twenty rounds of 7mm Remington Magnum cartridges featuring nickel-plated cases and copper-jacketed spitzer bullets. These cartridges bear headstamps transcribed verbatim as R-P 7MM REM MAG, indicating original manufacture by the Remington Arms Company. A second group consists of twenty rounds of 7x57mm Mauser cartridges with brass cases and copper-jacketed spitzer bullets, contained in a blue plastic case marked 7X57 in black ink. The final twenty rounds are 7mm cartridges with nickel-plated cases and copper-jacketed soft-point bullets. The ammunition appears to be hand-loaded or remanufactured, as evidenced by the mixed packaging and handwritten labeling. Technical inspection of the metal cases reveals minor surface tarnish and storage wear, while the projectiles remain securely seated.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition. The nickel-plated cases retain a bright finish, while the brass cases exhibit natural tarnish and minor surface oxidation consistent with age. The copper-jacketed projectiles appear clean, though the lead tips of the soft-point bullets show some expected dulling or oxidation. All three plastic utility boxes show light external scuffing but remain functional for storage. While the ammunition appears to be live, as remanufactured cartridges, they are sold for components or for use after inspection by a qualified professional.
