Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 226:
Description
This lot consists of 85 rounds of remanufactured .44 Magnum ammunition produced by P&M Enterprises, featuring 200-grain round nose flat point projectiles. The cartridges are organized within two black plastic trays and housed in a worn red cardboard box. The box white label is printed with P&M ENTERPRISES, 44 Magnum, 200 RNFP, Remanufactured, and the code 03290024235. A visual survey of the cartridge bases reveals a variety of commercial brass casings with headstamps including R-P 44 REM MAG, TOP BRASS 44 REM MAG, SPEER 44 MAG, SUPER 44 REM MAG, F C 44 REM MAG, REM-UMC 44 REM MAG, and W-W SUPER 44 REM MAG. The mix of casings indicates the remanufacturing process utilized once-fired brass from several major manufacturers including Remington-Peters, Top Brass, Speer, Federal, and Winchester-Western.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in live condition. The brass casings show varying degrees of tarnish and minor surface oxidation consistent with age and storage. The lead projectiles exhibit light oxidation. The cardboard box is in fair to poor condition, showing significant wear, frayed edges, and some separation at the corners. The plastic internal trays are intact.
