Description
This lot consists of 60 rounds of Hornady centerfire rifle ammunition chambered in 6.8mm Remington Special Purpose Cartridge (SPC). The collection is comprised of three 20-round boxes, including one box of Hornady Varmint Express featuring 110 grain V-MAX polymer-tipped bullets with stock number 8346, and two boxes of Hornady Custom ammunition featuring 120 grain SST (Super Shock Tip) polymer-tipped bullets with stock number 8347. These cartridges utilize high-quality reloadable brass cases and are fitted with characteristic red polymer-tipped projectiles designed for rapid expansion and controlled terminal performance. Verbatim markings on the cartridge headstamps include the manufacturer HORNADY and the caliber designation 6.8mm REM SPC. The exterior cardboard packaging displays the Hornady logo along with company slogans Accurate, Deadly, Dependable. and specifies the projectile type, bullet weight, and stock number for each variety. Additional text on the packaging references J.W. Hornady 1907-1981 and includes the count marking 20 CARTRIDGES on each box.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in very good, live condition with bright brass cases showing no signs of corrosion, oxidation, or significant tarnish. The red polymer tips remain intact and securely seated in the case mouths with no visible damage. All primers are unspent and appear to be factory original. The exterior cardboard retail packaging displays light shelf wear, minor corner fraying, and original price stickers from Cabela\'s along with some handwritten ink notations.
