Description
This Jennings Firearms, Inc. Model J-22 is a compact semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle designed for concealable personal defense or plinking. The pistol features a short fixed barrel and a blowback-operated slide. The exterior exhibits a black finish over a cast zinc-alloy frame and slide, which is fitted with black checkered plastic grips secured by a single screw on each side. The slide is equipped with integral low-profile sights consisting of a front blade and a rear notch. Key markings include the manufacturer name Jennings Firearms, Inc. and Chino California U.S.A. on the left side of the slide, along with the safety markings F, a diamond, and S. The right side of the slide specifies the model as Model J-22 and the chambering as 22 Cal Long Rifle. The backstrap is stamped with the serial number 264028 and features a secondary hand-etched number N446927. This lot is accompanied by 2 mags, including one silver-toned and one black-finished example. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol\'s black finish shows heavy wear, with significant thinning and loss along the high points and edges of the slide and frame. There are numerous scuffs and scratches throughout the exterior surfaces. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested. The black checkered plastic grips are in good condition with minor handling marks and no visible cracks. Both included magazines show signs of use and surface wear.
