Lot 111:
Sold for: $600
Description
This Swiss Model 1911 (K11) is a straight-pull bolt-action carbine chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss. The rifle features a blued steel finish on its barrel and receiver, complemented by a characteristic straight-pull bolt assembly with reddish-brown composite handle knobs and a circular rear safety ring. The carbine is fitted with a full-length light-colored wood stock that exhibits a bright, possibly refinished appearance, and includes a visible wood splice repair located on the right side behind the receiver tang. Sighting is handled by a hooded blade front sight, currently fitted with a brass-colored muzzle cap, and a tangent rear sight graduated for distance. A brown leather sling is attached to the factory side-mounted swivels. Key markings include a Swiss cross-in-shield proof mark on the receiver ring and the serial number 84791 stamped on the barrel and the left side of the receiver; the receiver serial number is followed by a P mark, indicating the rifle was officially released for private ownership after its military service. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The carbine is in overall very good condition. The original blued finish shows minimal wear on the metal components, with some light thinning at the muzzle and edges of the receiver. The stock appears to have been refinished and exhibits a bright, uniform color with few handling marks; the wood splice repair at the tang is stable and well-executed. The straight-pull action appears to function correctly and smoothly. The bore was not inspected but the exterior of the barrel is clean. The leather sling remains supple with some age-related cracking and surface wear.
