Description
This Romanian TTC is a military-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.62x25mm, designed after the Soviet Tokarev TT-33. It features a 4.6 inch barrel and a solid steel construction with a blued finish throughout. The pistol is fitted with black synthetic grips that have vertical ribbing and a central star emblem containing the letters RPR, signifying the Republica Populara Romana. This example includes an added thumb safety on the left side of the frame, which is common on pistols imported into the United States. Accompanying the firearm are two single-stack box magazines and a complete brown leather military-style rig, consisting of a flap holster with a red enamel Soviet star pin and a brown leather belt with a brass buckle featuring a star and hammer and sickle motif. Key markings include the manufacturer proof of a triangle with an internal arrow on the left frame, followed by the serial number A OP 1381 and the production date 1953. The slide is also serialized OP 1381 on the top surface. The right side of the frame displays import markings that read MDL. TTC CAL 7.62X25 ROMANIA and C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. The interior of the belt features white Cyrillic stamps including OTK 21. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol shows a well-preserved blued finish with moderate wear and thinning visible on the sharp edges of the slide, frame, and trigger guard. There is some light thinning on the front and back grip straps. The bore was not inspected but the exterior condition suggests it has been well-maintained. The action appears to function correctly, with the slide, trigger, and hammer moving smoothly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The synthetic grips are in good condition with minor handling marks. The leather holster and belt rig are in good surplus condition, remaining supple with minor surface scuffing and honest wear.
