Description

This lot features a Star Model BM semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Parabellum, designed as a compact single-action service handgun. The pistol is equipped with a 3.9 inch barrel and features a blued steel finish on the slide and frame. The furniture consists of two-piece checkered black plastic grip panels secured by two screws. Sights include a fixed front blade and a square-notch rear sight dovetailed into the slide. Verbatim markings on the left side of the slide include STAR B. ECHEVERRIA S.A. CAL. 9 M/M P, with ESPANA partially visible below. The right side of the slide bears the import markings C.A.I. GEORGIA VT., MADE IN SPAIN, and STAR BM B. ECHEVERRIA 9MM. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number SBM109265, and the secondary number 23311 is present on both the slide and frame. The base of the grip frame is stamped BM, and a Spanish proof mark is visible on the barrel hood. Included with the firearm are two single-stack magazines, a tan leather military-style flap holster, and a steel cleaning rod with a loop handle. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The pistol retains approximately 80-85% of its original blued finish, exhibiting moderate holster wear and thinning on the high edges of the slide and frame, particularly at the muzzle and along the grip straps. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling and no signs of significant pitting. The checkered plastic grip panels are in good condition with minor handling marks and no visible cracks. The action operates smoothly with positive clicks. The tan leather holster shows light age-related surface wear and minor staining but remains supple with intact stitching. Both magazines show standard finish wear from insertion and extraction.
