Description

This lot consists of a total of 89 rounds of Norma brand ammunition chambered for 6.5x55mm. The collection includes three boxes of 6.5×55 marked as Index No. 759, one box of loaded 6.5x55mm ammunition with 156-grain soft point round nose bullets marked as Index No. 22, and one box of 6.5mm Japanese ammunition featuring 156-grain soft point projectiles marked as Index No. 14. The packaging consists of vintage woodgrain-patterned cardboard boxes with red and white labels. Verbatim markings on the packaging include the stylized norma logo, Olympic Championship Match Grade Ammunition trade marks, and caliber designations such as 6,5×55 and 6.5 Jap. Loaded 6.5x55mm cartridges feature headstamps reading NORMA Re 6,5×55, indicating reloadable brass. The projectiles are exposed lead soft point types with a round nose profile. This grouping of 89 rounds and components represents a variety of mid-20th century sporting ammunition from a prominent Swedish manufacturer.

Condition report:

The woodgrain-patterned cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including edge fraying, minor scuffs, and several original retailer stickers. The loaded ammunition and brass cases show a natural aged patina, with some visible surface oxidation and minor spotting on the brass bodies. The exposed lead tips of the projectiles have darkened slightly with age but remain structurally sound. The unprimed cases appear unfired and are well-preserved within their original dividers. The primers on the loaded rounds appear seated correctly and are free of significant corrosion.
