Description
This lot contains four curved steel magazines designed for the Sterling L2A3 submachine gun and other 9mm firearms utilizing the same magazine pattern. These magazines have a 34-round capacity and are notable for their dual-roller follower system, which was engineered to provide superior feeding reliability compared to standard flat followers. The magazines feature a dark, worn finish and are constructed from heavy-gauge stamped steel. Prominent markings include the word STERLING on the side of one magazine, and three of the floorplates are stamped with the word OFF and a directional arrow. Two examples also display hand-painted yellow inventory markings, A30 and 7. The magazines are currently loaded with 9mm cartridges.
Condition report:
The magazines are in used condition, showing significant finish wear, surface oxidation, and light pitting consistent with military surplus items. The springs and roller followers remain functional and under tension, though they have not been tested for feeding in a firearm. The cartridges contained within the magazines have not been inspected for viability.
