Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of 9mm Largo ammunition manufactured by Empresa Nacional Santa Barbara de Industrias Militares S.A. in Toledo, Spain. The collection is comprised of four original cardboard boxes, with each containing 25 cartridges held in a white plastic tray. These cartridges feature brass cases and are loaded with round-nose full metal jacket (FMJ) bullets. Prominent markings on the box faces include Empresa Nacional Santa Barbara de Industrias Militares S.A. TOLEDO, 25 Cartuchos, and 9mm LARGO. The reverse of the boxes are stamped with Spanish loading dates: 14 NOV. 1977, 16 NOV. 1977, and 29 DIC. 1977. Verification of the headstamps shows markings for the caliber 9-L, the manufacturer SB, the factory location T for Toledo, and the production years 76 or 77.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in vintage condition with physical signs of aging. The brass cases show a varying degree of tarnishing and patina. There is notable greenish oxidation and verdigris present on several of the primers and around the headstamps of some cartridges. The original cardboard boxes exhibit shelf wear, including fraying at the edges and corners, and several modern adhesive price and inventory labels are present. The projectiles appear securely seated and the ammunition appears to be live.
