Lot 206:
A 3-Piece Romanian PM md. 63 Laminated Wood and Bakelite Rifle Furniture Set
Sold for: $250
Description
This 3-piece furniture set is comprised of Romanian military surplus components for the PM md. 63 (Pistol Mitraliera model 1963), a licensed variant of the Soviet AKM. The set includes a fixed-style buttstock, a lower handguard, and a pistol grip. The buttstock and lower handguard are constructed from laminated wood, with the handguard featuring the distinctive integrated vertical foregrip characteristic of Romanian production. The buttstock includes a side-mounted steel sling swivel and a stamped steel buttplate secured by two screws. The pistol grip is made of reddish-brown mottled bakelite with diamond-pattern checkering on both sides. No serial numbers, factory codes, or arsenal markings are visible on the exterior surfaces of the components.
Condition report:
The set is in used military surplus condition. The laminated wood components exhibit heavy surface wear, including multiple scratches, dings, and significant loss of the original reddish shellac finish. The bakelite pistol grip shows minor surface abrasions and handling wear but remains structurally sound without visible cracks.
