Description
This collection features several pieces of United States military personal field equipment from the mid-to-late 20th century. The assortment includes a standard one-quart olive drab plastic canteen with a black screw cap, housed in a nylon cover stenciled U.S. on the front. The cover features dual snap closures and a small front pocket, and it is attached to a green nylon webbing individual equipment belt with three rows of metal grommets and a black plastic buckle. Also included is a tan canvas utility bag, visually consistent with a demolition or ammunition satchel charge bag, which features an adjustable olive drab webbing shoulder strap and side attachment loops. The set further contains a long olive drab cotton drawstring bag and an olive drab cotton twill garrison cap with a single ventilation grommet.
Condition report:
All items are in used, field-worn condition. Visible fading is present on the green textile components, particularly the canteen cover and garrison cap. The tan canvas bag shows localized staining and surface wear. All hardware and closures remain functional, and there are no major tears or structural failures observed.
