Description
This is a Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 bolt-action rifle configured as a PU sniper replica. Chambered in 7.62x54R, the rifle features a barrel measuring approximately 29 inches. The firearm retains an arsenal-refurbished blued finish on the receiver and barrel. The full-length wood stock displays a square refurbishment mark with a diagonal line and hand-carved characters reading H/M on the right side of the buttstock. It is fitted with a side-mounted PU-style optic with a three-post reticle, leather lens covers, and a canvas sling with leather dog-collar attachments. Transcription of the barrel shank markings includes the Izhevsk arsenal arrow within a triangle emblem, the year 1942г, a hammer and sickle within a wreath, and the serial number РЕ 5456. Matching serial number 5456 is present on the turned-down bolt handle and the buttplate. Import markings on the left side of the barrel from Century Arms International specify M91/30 RUSSIA 7.62x54R C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. with a secondary serial number prefix. The optic features a star over a hammer and sickle, an arrow within a triangle, the date 1942, and the serial number № Б-25909. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in good surplus condition overall. The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their arsenal-refurbished blued finish, showing minor edge thinning and scattered handling scuffs. The wood stock is sound with typical dings and scratches consistent with military service. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The bolt action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The PU optic shows clear glass, and the leather lens covers exhibit light surface wear.
