Gun Collectors Dream Auction #85 Weapons of War July 18th 10AM CST
Lot 268:
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of a total of 64 rounds of Bulgarian military surplus ammunition, partitioned into four original paper-wrapped boxes each containing 16 rounds. The ammunition is chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, a caliber historically utilized in the TT-33 service pistol and various submachine guns. Each pinkish-tan paper box retains a printed black Cyrillic label with the following verbatim markings: Завод — 10 indicating the Arsenal factory in Kazanlak, 16 БОЙНИ пистолетни патрони signifying 16 combat pistol cartridges, Калибър 7·62 мм. identifying the caliber, and за обикновен и картечен пистолети indicating intended use for both standard pistols and machine pistols. The packaging configuration of 16 rounds per box was designed to facilitate the rapid loading of two standard 8-round magazines. As is typical for military surplus of this origin and period, the primers are likely corrosive.
Condition report:
The paper packaging displays age-appropriate wear including minor fraying at the corners, creasing, and localized light staining. The printed labels remain crisp and clearly legible across all four boxes. The ammunition remains in its original wrapping and appears to be in good surplus condition; however, the individual cartridges have not been removed or inspected for potential case corrosion or primer degradation. The ammunition is presumed to be live.
