Description

This is a Gabilondo y Urresti Buffalo model semi-automatic pocket pistol chambered in 6.35mm, also known as .25 ACP, designed in the classic Eibar style of the early 20th century. The pistol features an approximately 2 inch barrel housed within a steel slide and frame assembly. The metal surfaces exhibit a heavily thinned original finish that has transitioned into a mottled gray and brown patina with areas of light surface oxidation and minor pitting throughout. The firearm is fitted with checkered black hard rubber grips that include the caliber designation and a circular logo depicting a dog’s head, which is the signature emblem of the Buffalo model. Key markings include the French phrase FABRIQUE D’ARMES DE GUERRE DE GRANDE PRECISION stamped on the left side of the slide and the serial number 85081 located on the left side of the frame above a small logo consisting of the letters A and H within an oval. The right side of the frame and the barrel display several Spanish proof marks from the Eibar proof house including a shield with crossed swords, a P within a circle under a crown, and an L under a crown. This lot is accompanied by one detachable box magazine with a polished steel finish. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The pistol is in fair to good overall condition. The metal finish shows significant honest wear and thinning, leaving a mostly gray patina with scattered oxidation and light pitting. The bore was not internally inspected but the exterior suggests moderate use. The action appears to function correctly with the slide and trigger operating as intended, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The black hard rubber grips show wear to the checkering and a notable vertical crack is present on the left grip panel. The magazine shows some finish loss and light surface rust.
