Lot 314:
Sold for: $50
Description
This is a United States military-issue Enhanced Tactical Load-Bearing Vest (ETLBV), a key component of the late Cold War-era Individual Integrated Fighting System (IIFS). The vest is constructed from M81 Woodland camouflage nylon cordura and is distinguished by four slanted ammunition pouches on the chest, designed to hold two 30-round M16 magazines each, and two lower fragmentation grenade pouches with snap closures. The garment features padded shoulder straps to distribute heavy loads and utilizes nylon mesh on the side and rear panels to provide ventilation for the wearer. The rear of the vest includes a lace-up adjustment system and metal D-rings. This unit is currently attached via its lower straps to a standard LC-2 individual equipment belt made of green nylon webbing. The belt features a black plastic quick-release buckle and metal eyelets for the attachment of additional ALICE-compatible pouches. A black ink stamp reading US is visible on the interior surface of the equipment belt.
Condition report:
The vest and belt are in issued, military surplus condition. There is visible finish wear and minor oxidation on the metal snaps and adjustment buckles. The nylon fabric and webbing show signs of service use and minor fading, but remain structurally sound without significant fraying, rips, or tears. All plastic buckles are present and appear to be in functional condition.
