Description
This lot consists of a replica commemorative dress dagger, a leather scabbard, and a metal accessory badge. The dagger features a straight, double-edged spear-point blade with a decorative acid-etched panel on one side. The etching includes oak leaf borders, the unit designation SS-Panzer Grenadier Regiment 6 Teodor Eicke, a Totenkopf in a shield, and SS runes in a circle. The ricasso is stamped with a diamond-shaped maker mark for Puma, Solingen, featuring a puma head. The blade spine is also marked Solingen. The hilt is composed of a non-standard cast metal pommel shaped as a skull wearing an M35/40 style helmet and a simple curved crossguard. The handle is a black ribbed composition material. The scabbard is constructed of brown leather with a belt loop and features a stamped eagle and swastika emblem. Included is a metal accessory badge in the form of a 1939 dated Iron Cross. Note the misspelling of the name Theodor as Teodor on the blade etching.

Condition report:
Fair condition. The item is broken, specifically displaying significant material loss and white residue in the center of the black ribbed composition grip. The cast metal hilt and guard exhibit heavy oxidation, pitting, and loss of original finish. The blade shows surface scratches and scattered oxidation. The leather scabbard displays surface crazing, darkening, and wear.
