Description

This lot consists of a single sealed metal military style ammunition container, frequently referred to as a spam can, which holds an unknown quantity of cartridges in an unidentified caliber. The rectangular steel container is finished in an olive drab paint and features black stenciled markings on one end consisting of the characters FБ32 positioned above the number 67, with a faint and illegible stamp located to the left of the lower characters. One side of the can displays a large area of adhesive residue and paper fragments from a previously attached label. Because the container remains in its original hermetically sealed state, the specific caliber, round count, and projectile type cannot be confirmed, although the markings and construction are consistent with mid-20th century Eastern Bloc military production.

Condition report:

The metal container is in fair to good condition, exhibiting various signs of age and long-term storage. The exterior olive drab finish shows numerous surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of paint loss, with scattered spots of light surface rust and oxidation, particularly along the seams. The structural integrity of the hermetic seal appears to be intact. The internal contents have not been inspected but are presumed to be live ammunition protected from environmental exposure.
