Description

Three quarto-sized reference volumes specializing in the uniforms and awards of the German Third Reich between 1933 and 1945. The volumes are constructed with printed paper leaves bound in publisher cloth or pictorial boards, with two retaining their original dust jackets. The collection comprises: Brian L. Davis, German Army Uniforms and Insignia 1933-1945, featuring a white dust jacket with a color illustration of two soldiers; John R. Angolia and Adolf Schlicht, Die Kriegsmarine: Uniforms and Traditions, a hardcover volume with a black textured binding and a color photographic cover illustration showing naval headgear and an officer’s dagger; and LTC (Retired) John R. Angolia, For Fuhrer and Fatherland: Political and Civil Awards of the Third Reich, an updated edition in a black dust jacket depicting a uniformed official. These works are standard reference materials for militaria collectors and historians, featuring detailed text accompanied by numerous photographs, diagrams, and illustrations.

Condition report:

The volumes are in good condition with typical shelf wear and edge rubbing to the bindings and dust jackets. The Davis volume shows a notable tear and creasing at the bottom left corner of the dust jacket and general age-toning to its white surface. The other volumes show light corner bumping and surface wear consistent with reference use.
