Lot 358:
A Lot of 70 Rounds of 8mm Mauser Ammunition on Stripper Clips
Sold for: $60
Description
This lot consists of 70 rounds of 8mm Mauser centerfire rifle ammunition mounted on metal five-round stripper clips. The ammunition is configured with bottlenecked, rimless brass cases and copper-jacketed spitzer projectiles. Included with the ammunition is a tan canvas bandolier featuring six individual pockets with horizontal access slits and black contrast stitching. Each pocket is designed to accommodate two five-round stripper clips, providing a carrying capacity of 60 rounds within the bandolier. The total quantity of 70 rounds is distributed across 14 metal stripper clips. No manufacturer headstamps or markings are clearly legible on the cartridges, clips, or bandolier fabric.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in fair to good condition. The brass cases exhibit varying degrees of tarnishing and minor surface oxidation consistent with age and storage. The copper-jacketed bullets show light discoloration but remain structurally sound. The metal stripper clips retain their brass-toned finish with minor surface wear and light oxidation. The tan canvas bandolier is in fair to good condition, showing light wear, minor fraying along the edges, and faint staining. The ammunition appears to be live.
