Lot 409:
Lot of 80 Rounds of Remanufactured .30 Carbine Ammunition
Sold for: $55
Description
This lot features 80 rounds of remanufactured .30 Carbine ammunition housed in two protective plastic cases, including a gray Midway brand box and a blue MTM Case-Gard 50. The cartridges are assembled with 110-grain full metal jacket bullets and utilize brass casings from various military surplus origins. Verbatim headstamp markings include L C 5 2, L C 5 3, L C 5 4, R A 5 2, and W C C 5 2, identifying production by the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Remington Arms, and the Western Cartridge Company dated between 1952 and 1954. Internal handwritten notations on the gray Midway lid specify the load as 110 GR FMJ and WCC H110. The lot consists of 29 rounds in the gray container and 51 rounds in the blue container, totaling the 80 rounds as specified.
Condition report:
The brass casings show varying degrees of surface tarnish, patina, and light oxidation typical for vintage military surplus components. The copper-jacketed projectiles appear intact and free of significant corrosion. The ammunition appears live, though consistency is not guaranteed for remanufactured lots. Both plastic storage containers are in good functional condition with light exterior wear.
