Description

This is a sporterized Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 91/30 bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62x54mmR, originally produced for military service and later converted for civilian sporting use. The rifle features a blued barrel and receiver, while the original military stock has been replaced with a durable black synthetic sporter-style stock that includes textured grip panels on the pistol grip and forend, a raised comb, and a thick black rubber recoil pad. It retains its original military-style hooded front post sight and adjustable rear tangent sight. The top of the receiver has been drilled and tapped with two holes for the installation of a scope mount. Key markings on the barrel shank include the Izhevsk arsenal mark of an arrow inside a triangle, the production year 1943г, a Soviet crest, and the serial number H P 4047. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the number MK5104, and faint import markings near the muzzle end of the barrel read 7.62×54 RUSSIA. The bolt assembly is unblued and shows significant surface oxidation and a dark brown patina. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in fair to good overall condition. The bluing on the barrel and receiver shows moderate wear and thinning consistent with its age and history. The bolt assembly exhibits significant surface oxidation and heavy brown patina throughout its surface. The aftermarket synthetic stock is in good condition with only minor handling marks and remains structurally sound. The bore was not visually inspected, but the action appears to function smoothly upon manual cycling. The receiver modifications for a scope mount appear professional, with clean threading in the drilled holes.
