Gun Collectors Dream Auction #85 Weapons of War July 18th 10AM CST
Lot 460:
Sold for: $100
Description
This lot consists of a collection of 85 rounds of .303 British caliber ammunition, organized and held on steel charger clips. The cartridges are constructed with brass casings and feature copper-jacketed spitzer-type projectiles. Distinctive manufacturing annealing is visible on the case necks and shoulders, a common feature in military-grade ammunition production. The rounds are secured in five-round Mauser-style steel charger clips with a blackened finish. Verbatim transcription of the markings found on the cartridge headstamps includes the characters K, H, and 76. The ammunition is housed within two plain white cardboard boxes for storage and transport.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good surplus condition. The brass casings show minor surface tarnish and light oxidation consistent with age, but remain free of significant corrosion or structural defects. The copper-jacketed bullets are well-preserved with only minor superficial marks. The steel charger clips retain the majority of their dark finish, exhibiting some light edge wear and small areas of surface oxidation. The cardboard boxes show light handling wear and minor creasing but remain functional. This ammunition is sold as-is for collectible purposes; we have not function-tested the rounds.
