Description

This lot features three individual rifle stocks representing various 20th-century military and precision firearm designs. The first item is a German Mauser Kar98k stock constructed of laminated wood. It retains the original metal buttplate and the characteristic circular metal bolt disassembly disk through the buttstock. The wood includes the standard cutout for the bolt handle on the right side. The second item is an Austrian Steyr SSG 69 precision rifle stock manufactured from black synthetic polymer. This stock includes an integrated magazine well and trigger guard assembly configured for the SSG 69 rotary magazine, as well as front and rear metal sling swivel attachments. The third item is a United States Springfield M1903A3 infantry rifle stock made of walnut. This example is a stripped stock without a buttplate or mounting hardware and shows the high-wood profile characteristic of the A3 variant.

Condition report:

The Mauser Kar98k stock is in good condition with scattered dings, scratches, and minor surface wear consistent with field use; the wood retains much of its original finish. The Steyr SSG 69 stock is in very good condition with minor surface scuffing and handling marks. The Springfield M1903A3 stock is in fair to good condition with a dark, oil-soaked patina and multiple dings and handling marks throughout; no manufacturer cartouches are visible.
